The drive belt, also known as V-belt, is one of the most stressed parts of your scooter with Variomatik transmission. The entire outgoing engine power from the crankshaft is directed this via the converter to the transmission and thus to the rear wheel. In operation, the V-belt, due to the high friction is extremely hot and therefore wear relatively quickly. Signs of a slipping belt are increased noise and loss of power and reduced end speed. For this reason, we recommend the use of aramid reinforced drive belts. These last much longer than the standard straps and they do not tear too easily. Length details - please note: The length given may vary from the actual size. or your old V-belt deviate. This is because there are various measurement methods for determining the length of the drive belt. Manufacturer A measures in, manufacturer B measures outside and again another calculates a middle ground. Therefore, if the belt is designated for your scooter, then it should fit, no matter what length is specified.
