exhaust manifold unrestricted for Keeway, Generic, Sachs, Explorer 26805
Many scooters such as the Explorer Race GT 50 from ATU (Auto Teile Unger), as well as some Keeway, Generic and Sachs models are delivered with a heavily throttled exhaust manifold. After installation of the tuning elbow into our test scooter (Race GT 50) in the original condition we reached a speed of 63 km/h with Variodrossel; after removal of the throttle in the Variomatik the final speed rose to 72 km/h.
The connection for the secondary air system is completely omitted and this releases power reserves. The connecting hose of the secondary air system must be closed after mounting the elbow. We recommend using a screw as a stopper or simply fold over the hose and fix it with a cable tie. The carburetor main nozzle does not need to be adjusted. If you want the best possible result, you can replace the Vario rollers with slightly lighter ones; here we recommend a set of 5.8g Variomatic rollers measuring 15x12mm.
This elbow is a racing part without TÜV.
Delivery includes manifold gasket and exhaust gasket.
